As I stood beneath the giants and held my breath, the ancient limbs danced in the wind. The eternal life exchange was tangible, constantly shifting and flowing but always present. The silence just before the sway of the trees was complete in itself.
This place was sacred and filled with infinite being.
The wind didn’t judge the trees for moving a certain way. The trees never said to the wind, “You are blowing too hard.” Each element was its own expression of Divine energy. Each accepted the other without hesitation, and both stayed inside the dance.
Years of growth, deterioration and destruction yielded a vibrant environment, adaptive to change but never changing. Dark green moss covered trunks that had fallen from long ago, dressing the bark like so many fairies had used the surface to play. Fanciful layers of ferns spread out over the moss, creating a beautiful blanket of life.
Even in decay, the forest grew.
There are so many lessons to be learned from sitting at the foot of masters. Can you hear them calling?
It’s just another step in the Heart Dance <3.
